The Bassi hand drill is a high-precision
machine equipped with a seed distributor consisting of an alveolar
disk prepared to client specifications. It is designed to sow all
types of vegetables, cereals and medicinal herbs. The seed distributor
is driven by the rear wheel, powered by a pinion, crown wheel and
chain transmission. The machine is equipped with a chain tightener,
which allows you to change the crown wheel and thus the sowing distance
on the row without making any adjustments on the seed distributor.
The drill handles or handlebars are independent from the machine:
therefore you can tilt them as your own height requires without
undermining the precision of the sowing depth. The latter can be
set adjusting the front wheel with a handy knob.
Thanks to an adjustable pressure spring on the front wheel, you
can compress the soil according to your sowing requirements. The
front wheel is also equipped with ball bearings and a rubber tyre
with an inner air tube: this ensures that the machine will run more
smoothly over the ground.
The rear wheel is made in aluminium, a material that soil is less
likely to stick to, and has sealed ball bearings. Moreover, it features
a rotating, adjustable rowmarker. Finally, the drill is built entirely
of aluminium and galvanized metal, whereas the seedbox has a baked-on
paint finish: this guarantees higher quality and a long life.
